Even if you install Windows 10 fresh it creates this partition automatically, this will mean that if you delete it will make Windows 10 not able to do resets which as above said would make without any software but keep your data.
My guess is that the reason it's in the middle is because it could not create it at the start of the drive to the existing partitions. I'm with the others
